It was the last evening of an amazing 10 days in London to celebrate Monica and Victors paper wedding in March. With Amelia and Alex, we again shared many special moments and over the 10 days had lovely food and always wine.
The last evening we had supper at the Noble Rot, a niche wine restaurant. I had to share the evening and wines we drank – an experience not often repeated.
After some discussion with the wine … we settled on an Josmeyer Alsace Grand Cru Riesling 2000 for our white selection. For red, Jungimmune from a young innovative winemaker from Scilly.
We chose the Alsace Riesling for a treat but never expected a 2000 Riesling to have maintained its typical Riesling characteristics – Mineral, apple, honey and citrus. Every mouthful was such a treat and savored. Ratings at 4.4/5.
The red wine from Gustinella Winery near mount Etna in Italy. Grapes are Grenache and Nerello Mascalese. It was worth the experience for trying something different. Rated 4/5.
